Our Story

I wanted to own a lavender farm.

Not just grow lavender—I wanted the whole dream. Rolling purple fields. pick your own days with families. A charming farm shop filled with sachets and soaps. The kind of place people drive hours to visit and leave with armfuls of lavender.  I had the land picked out. I had the business plan. I had the vision so clear I could smell the lavender.

But life had other plans.

A family health challenge meant I couldn’t take on a full farm operation. Lavender farming isn’t a solo endeavor—it requires help during harvest, constant maintenance, weekend retail hours, and physical labor I couldn’t commit to without support I didn’t have.  I had to let the dream go.
Or so I thought.

The Next Best Thing
I still had JustEdward Botanicals—my small lavender brand based in Prince Edward County. I couldn’t scale it into the farm I’d imagined, but I could still create products that I love and share to the rest of the world.
And then I realized something.

The dream wasn’t gone. It just looked different.

If I couldn’t own a lavender farm, I could support the ones who do.
I started talking to Ontario lavender farmers—people living the dream I’d had to release. And I kept hearing the same challenges:

I grow beautiful lavender, but I don’t have time to make products.”

“I’d love to offer lotions and candles, but I don’t have a commercial kitchen.”

“The regulations for cosmetics are overwhelming.”

“I can’t afford the equipment or the upfront investment.”

These farmers had what I wanted—the land, the fields, the farm stands. But they needed what I had—the production capability, the formulation knowledge, the time to create value-added products.

The Partnership

That’s how Ontario Lavender Collective began.

I source lavender from Ontario farms and create the products customers love to buy — lotions, candles, sprays, and soaps. I handle the production, packaging, and regulations, so farmers can stay focused on the fields.

The products are sold back to farms at wholesale, often with their farm name or a simple lavender-inspired emblem on the label.

Beautiful lavender products for your shop. More time for what matters most.

A collective built to support lavender farms.

Why This Matters

Ontario Lavender Collective is my way of supporting and celebrating lavender growers everywhere.

Every product is made to help farms offer more in their shops without taking time away from the fields, the harvest, or the customers who come to experience lavender season.

Every partnership is built on a simple belief: lavender growers are stronger together.

I may not own the lavender farm I once imagined. But through Ontario Lavender Collective, I’m part of dozens of them. And that’s become something even better than the dream I started with.
